The Ambulance Control Centres are responsible for handling 999 calls and medical requests for urgent ambulances for the whole of Scotland. They dispatch a range of assets in response to over 450,000 incidents each year and offer clinical advice and support. In line with the current service strategy, they will shortly also be responsible for planning and controlling 1,600,000 journeys for patients with medical needs to access scheduled care.
The real-time analyst is a national role, responsible for ensuring that the Service has the most accurate and up to date information in relation to performance against expectation and will influence and improve performance and patient care through assisting the Management Team with making informed business decisions.
We have two posts available, a substantive role and a 9 month secondment. In both cases, posts holders will provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week real-time analytical support to the National Operations Manager and Senior Management team for the Scottish Ambulance Service.
Candidates must be proficient in the use of Microsoft excel, demonstrate that they are highly analytical, able to interpret data and communicate effectively.
The ideal candidates will also be highly motivated, solution driven and have the ability to embrace change in an ever developing environment. Individuals must have the desire to succeed, support improved patient outcome and assist with driving performance improvement.
Both post holders will report to Karen Brogan, Head of Ambulance Control Performance, Planning and Information.
