MAINTENANCE CRAFTSPERSON ELECTRICIAN – BAND 4 (with RRP)
FULL TIME, PERMANENT
Salary scale: £19,902 to £22,683 plus recruitment and retention premium (RRP) of £3,443.76 per annum
A vacancy has arisen for a Maintenance Craftsperson Electrician within the Estates Department of NHS Highland based at Belford Hospital, Fort William. The successful applicant will be required to carry out maintenance and repair of building services, plant and equipment within the Lochaber area and across the wider NHS Highland area. A current driving licence is essential.
Applicants must have served a recognised electrical apprenticeship and have appropriate experience maintaining and repairing equipment and systems such as electrical distribution equipment, lighting, small power, generator, fire alarm systems, heating services, boiler plant, pumps and machinery, preferably within a health care environment however relevant experience in other industries is also considered applicable.
Applicants must be able to work as part of a team, without supervision, often on remote sites. After suitable familiarisation and training, availability for, and participation in, the on-call rota will also be a requirement.
The post is eligible for a Recruitment & Retention Premia (RRP) of £3,343, on call allowance and enhanced rates for call outs in addition to the basic salary.
A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessary, providing cover in order to ensure the level of service required.
