MEDICAL PRACTICE VACANCY

Expressions of interest are invited to provide primary medical services under a General Medical Services Contract or Primary Medical Services Agreement for approximately 7,880 patients in the North West area of Edinburgh. The GMS services are currently being provided from GP owned premises at East Craigs Medical Practice, 10 Bughtlin Market, Edinburgh. EH12 8XP and applicants should be aware that the availability of these premises is subject to further discussion with the owners.

This is an excellent opportunity to improve health outcomes and NHS Lothian would welcome applications from interested parties that will deliver high quality primary medical services responsive to the needs of the 7,880 patients. As well as delivering essential services, the successful provider will be expected to offer a range of additional and enhanced services.

It is a requirement that all applicants meet the criteria of section 17L of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended.

Are you interested in autonomous practice? Why not come to rural Argyll on the beautiful west coast of Scotland? We are looking for bank midwives to help cover the service within all our localities. These include Kintyre, Islay, Mid Argyll, Oban Lorn & the Isles and Cowal & Bute.

At the forefront of midwifery practice you will be a bank midwife working with a small, established team of enthusiastic motivated midwives who are committed to the provision of all aspects of women centred care.

A community service model of practice is in operation, which has access to a small Community Maternity Unit within Community Hospitals.

Hours are flexible, appropriate to the needs of the women and the needs of the service. There is an on call commitment.

You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Highland to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
