Expressions of interest are invited to provide primary medical services under a General Medical Services Contract or Primary Medical Services Agreement for approximately 7,880 patients in the North West area of Edinburgh. The GMS services are currently being provided from GP owned premises at East Craigs Medical Practice, 10 Bughtlin Market, Edinburgh. EH12 8XP and applicants should be aware that the availability of these premises is subject to further discussion with the owners.

This is an excellent opportunity to improve health outcomes and NHS Lothian would welcome applications from interested parties that will deliver high quality primary medical services responsive to the needs of the 7,880 patients. As well as delivering essential services, the successful provider will be expected to offer a range of additional and enhanced services.

It is a requirement that all applicants meet the criteria of section 17L of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended.

Gylemuir house is the first integrated partnership of its kind in Scotland. It is based in the Corstorphine area of Edinburgh and is registered as an interim care facility for residents who are waiting placement in Nursing homes.
Our staff nurses are responsible for the delivery of the service under the professional leadership of the Senior Charge Nurse. We are looking for staff with the ability to work within our multidisciplinary team demonstrating highly refined communication organisational and interpersonal skills is essential and also the ability to adapt to change.
The role requires an experienced and dynamic registered nurse in the field of Care of the Elderly/ Delayed discharge
Evidence of continuing professional development is essential and relevant post basic courses e.g Catheterisation; Enteral feeding; McKinley syringe pump; Verification of expected death would be desirable.

Part and Full time positions available. Interviews will take place on a interval basis throughout the duration of this advert.
