Expressions of interest are invited to provide primary medical services under a General Medical Services Contract or Primary Medical Services Agreement for approximately 7,880 patients in the North West area of Edinburgh. The GMS services are currently being provided from GP owned premises at East Craigs Medical Practice, 10 Bughtlin Market, Edinburgh. EH12 8XP and applicants should be aware that the availability of these premises is subject to further discussion with the owners.

This is an excellent opportunity to improve health outcomes and NHS Lothian would welcome applications from interested parties that will deliver high quality primary medical services responsive to the needs of the 7,880 patients. As well as delivering essential services, the successful provider will be expected to offer a range of additional and enhanced services.

It is a requirement that all applicants meet the criteria of section 17L of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended.

Roslin Medical Practice is a busy semi-rural practice in Midlothian with 4 GP partners and a full complement of clinical and administrative staff. The practice has a list size of approx 6000 patients and operates from a purpose-built health centre in Roslin. We are a forward thinking training practice and are fully computerised. We currently have a part time position for a Medical Receptionist The hours of work are 25 hours per week, 1pm – 6pm Monday to Friday, although a degree of flexibility is required to meet business needs. The successful applicant will have excellent computer and administrative skills and ideally should have previous experience working in a medical practice. The role entails dealing with staff, patients and health care colleagues so it is essential that you also have good communication and interpersonal skills.
