MEDICAL PRACTICE VACANCY

Expressions of interest are invited to provide primary medical services under a General Medical Services Contract or Primary Medical Services Agreement for approximately 7,880 patients in the North West area of Edinburgh. The GMS services are currently being provided from GP owned premises at East Craigs Medical Practice, 10 Bughtlin Market, Edinburgh. EH12 8XP and applicants should be aware that the availability of these premises is subject to further discussion with the owners.

This is an excellent opportunity to improve health outcomes and NHS Lothian would welcome applications from interested parties that will deliver high quality primary medical services responsive to the needs of the 7,880 patients. As well as delivering essential services, the successful provider will be expected to offer a range of additional and enhanced services.

It is a requirement that all applicants meet the criteria of section 17L of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended.

An opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic, motivated and resourceful community addiction nurse to join the team in delivering exceptional care to service users in Kintyre.
We are seeking to appoint an individual with the ability and commitment to work as part of an integrated health and social care team.
You should possess a good clinical knowledge with evidence of continuing professional development, good interpersonal skills and the ability to deliver safe, effective and evidence based care.
The main focus of this position is to continue the nurse led non medical prescribing clinic within Kintyre. Given this the preferred candidate as well as being a first level registered mental health nurse will either already be trained and registered with the NMC as a non medical prescriber or be willing to undertake this training on appointment.
Significant post registration experience is required and relevant experience in the addiction field is essential.
