Expressions of interest are invited to provide primary medical services under a General Medical Services Contract or Primary Medical Services Agreement in a new practice located in Newtongrange, Midlothian from a building owned by NHS Lothian.

The provider will need to grow the practice list up to circa 5,000 patients. This is an excellent opportunity to improve health outcomes and NHS Lothian would welcome applications from interested parties that will deliver high quality primary medical services responsive to the needs of these patients. As well as delivering essential services, the successful provider will be expected to offer a range of additional and enhanced services.

It is a requirement that all applicants meet the criteria of section 17L of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended.

Remote and Rural GP partner, full time (other arrangements can be discussed) Would you like to work in the Outer Hebrides, in a stunning location with a supportive team? Are you interested in Community Hospital work, developing your clinical interests, and re-invigorating your love of General Practice and Medicine? As well as a fulfilling job, we can offer wild hills and huge beaches, exciting live music, wildlife and surf. We are looking for a full time GP, preferably a partner. Experience in A&E, BASICS training, and other acute speciality interests are a distinct advantage. Support for training and development is a given. Please note: this is not a standard GP job: it will provide clinical challenges, opportunities to work in extended roles, to develop services and to inspire the next generation of rural GPs. Small numbers and a strong nursing team means we have an interesting and manageable GP workload.
